NZ Civil Aviation Authority Standards
All drone operations conducted under current CAA regulations by certified operators.
Shielded Operation
Our sub-250g aircraft operates within the “shielded operation” parameters defined in CAA Rule Part 101.207(c). This means we operate below the highest point of the structure, within 100m of it, and not over any adjoining property without explicit authorisation.
Visual Line of Sight
All flights are conducted within visual line of sight by an operator who maintains direct, unaided visual contact with the aircraft at all times. We do not fly over people or adjoining properties without separate written authorisation as required by CAA Part 101.213.
Harbourline Construction Ltd's unmanned aerial operations are conducted in full compliance with the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA) Part 101 rules for unmanned aircraft. No pilot license or Part 102 certification is required for the operations described on this page. For more information, visit aviation.govt.nz/drones.
