1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Harbourline Construction Ltd ("Harbourline", "we", "us") website, client portal, and services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Services

Harbourline provides construction services including home renovations, new builds, decks and pergolas, fencing, and light commercial construction in the Wellington region. We also offer site consultations, aerial drone audits, and preliminary cost estimates.

All estimates are preliminary and subject to change based on site conditions, material availability, consent requirements, and detailed scope definition. A formal quote will be provided before any work commences.

3. Client Portal

The Harbourline Client Portal is provided to clients with active projects. Portal access is created by invitation only. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

Project data displayed in the portal (milestones, media, documents, variations) is for informational purposes. Formal project documentation (contracts, variations, consent documents) takes precedence over portal display.

4. Payments

Payments for consultations, drone audits, construction services, and variation approvals are processed through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, design, and code — is the property of Harbourline Construction Ltd. Project documents (plans, reports, contracts) produced for your project are licensed for your personal use in connection with that project.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Harbourline is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services.

Our liability for construction services is governed by the specific contract entered into for each project, including warranties under the Building Act 2004 and the Construction Contracts Act 2002.

7. Construction Contracts Act 2002

All construction work is performed under written contracts that comply with the Construction Contracts Act 2002 (CCA). This includes provisions for payment claims, payment schedules, and dispute resolution through adjudication. Variation requests made through the client portal are subject to formal approval and documentation under CCA requirements.

8. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the client portal if you violate these terms or if your project is completed or cancelled. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
